Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for the bright sun shinning.  That wakes up the guinea pig that squeaks.  That wakes up the dogs who have to go out side.  I must rise and shine to take them out and start my day. Just like the sun rises and shines to wake up the earth

  1. Im thankful for the full moon that lets me sing "I see the moon the moon sees me,shinnng above that old palm tree. Please let the moon that shines on me shine on the one I love."
Im sorry I havent commented on your little post for a while, I have been, as they say..."under ther weather" for a while. I have just garnered enough sstrength to read my computer today. Very interesting about your "3 little pigs!' I wish you would have taken a picture of your truck all loaded up with them on the very top. That would have been something 2 see. It sounds like your little Bandit is evolving into quite a good little heeler. Who knew they could heel 3 little pigs as well as goats. 2 bad you didnt have her when the boys were little! Ha ha ha!
Thanks for your bun recipe, I havent gotten the chance to make them yet, but am looking forward to doing so maybe next week. I tried making some Irish soda breaddd, that my grandson and I have decided to call Breakfast Bread, but I am really not pleased with the outcome this week. Funny when I was so sick I could hardldy get out of bed, thats all I wanted..a piece of that bread toasted with a little butter. When I was well enough to make it, it just wasn't exactally what I wanted after all. :-( I will continue to look for a batter bread that is soft , tender and has a nice taste to use for a Breakfast bread. The one I make is good, but just to heavy. Do you have any suggestions? Well I am getting tired again. I just made an oldfashioned oatmeal cake. When my girls were little I used to have a recipe for a cake like this and wanted to see if this one was lsike it, you know searching for a taste of the past. It is pretty close. My grandson said it was very good. He thought the oatmeal would make it dry, but actually it makes it moist. Funny how little things make me so tired these days. If I dont talk to you before Easter, I hope the true meaning of this holy holy time warms your heart and soul.
